I am thrilled to have been invited to this year’s World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) Summit in Doha, Qatar, in mid November. The Summit is themed ‘Collaboration for Change’ and will see over 2020 prominent education, corporate, political and social leaders from over 100 countries gather to discuss ‘bold ways of improving education, exploring groundbreaking new trends and tackling the critical challenges of the 21st century through concrete action.’

The Summit emphasises ’interactive discussion’ and sessions will be broadcast live on the WISE website. Participants, both in the auditorium and those watching around the world, will then be invited to submit questions via the WISE website and Twitter.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to connect with experts from all over the world, and bring back valuable resources and ideas for building the future of education in New Zealand. Please let me know if there is any particular area or issue you want me to watch out for. You can leave a comment below or email me.  I will speak briefly about my experience at our Christmas lunch in December.  I also hope to report back from some think tanks in London –  although I will only have a short time there I’m hoping to have an opportunity to catch up with my favourite think tanks, in particular Demos and Chatham House.

Best,

Wendy
