Tuesday 17 May, Wellington: There is a free symposium on the “Future of Coal,” which Dr Hansen will be speaking at. This symposium will address questions such as: What is the way forward? Does carbon capture and storage (CCS) offer a satisfactory solution? Or will coal production need to be severely curtailed in the interests of maintaining a stable, hospitable climate?
