We are pleased to announce that the first TacklingPovertyNZ newsletter is now available to view on our website.

In response to the interest we have received around the TacklingPovertyNZ national tour, we have decided to create this TacklingPovertyNZ newsletter. The newsletter will be produced every two months for the remainder of 2020, and will share what we and others are doing to bring about change. Our aim is to generate a national conversation – building a brick path rather than a brick wall – around the issue of poverty in
New Zealand.

In this first issue we provide an overview of the outputs from the December 2020 three-day workshop. This led to a decision to pursue the TacklingPovertyNZ national tour; the first stop was in Queenstown on 29 March 2020. We also share some of the latest significant research on poverty both at home and abroad.

If you would like to receive the TacklingPovertyNZ newsletter, please register here. You can also subscribe to the TalentNZ newsletter and the McGuinness Institute twice-yearly newsletter to learn about the Institute’s wider work programme.
